Woywitka Rejoins the Blues: Party Like It’s 2005
Well it was just announced that Jeff Woywitka has signed a 1 year 2 way deal with the St Louis Blues for 2012-2013. Jeff actually enjoyed a fairly decent career in St Louis but this move is purely a depth signing. I Really cannot see Jeff playing a prominent role on this team unless injuries are a concern. Which they usually are with this team. Over the years as a Blue from 2005-2008 season he amassed 35 pts over 152 games played and was +2, with his rookie season eating up most of the that stat. Over his career however he is a +3 with 55 pts over 278 games with the Blues, Stars, and Rangers.
Honestly I think GM Doug Armstrong could be finding better depth moves then retreads but Woywitka is fairly average. This also means that Along with Barret Jackman now, they are the only two that were with the team, the year after the lockout and both know how losing feels.
