Tonight the Blues will take on the Calgary Flames at 7 p.m.  The Flames have been struggling as of late, and their captain Jerome Iginla has not been able to shake his season long slump.  He has 6 goals and 4 assists on the season but is a pretty terrible -11.  Tonight Mikka Kiprusoff gets the start in net for the Flames.  He is 19-4-2 against the Blues, with a 1.90 GAA.  I figure Kipper gets the start tonight after the Blues embarrassed Henrik Karlsson in their first meeting this season 5-2.  However the Blues lost their next meeting 3-1.

Keys to this game for the Blues

  • Captain David Backes; needs to keep this team motivated.  Flames have a tendency of frustrating the Blues
  • Petro and Cole need to continue to shut down the top forwards
  • Jackman needs to keep on rolling and forget about the game against the Kings
  • Hitchcock needs to keep up with the match ups on lines
  • The Stewberg Dagger line needs to provide some scoring punch

No goalie has been anounced yet but I would assume it will be Halak in net.  Games on Fox Sports Midwest in St louis tonight and RSW in Calgary.
