Claude Giroux leads the league in points having 39 of them (16G 23A).

Injury has hurt the Flyers defensively with the loss of Chris Pronger. Now, injury has struck the NHL’s leader in points. Claude Giroux, having 16 goals and 23 assists totaling 39 points, is being sidelined from tomorrow night’s game vs. Washington due to concerns of a concussion. In Saturday night’s game vs. Tampa Bay, Simmonds and Giroux were unable to avoid collision and the knee of Simmonds ended up striking Giroux’s head. He will not be making the trip to Washington with the team and will be examined again tomorrow. Let’s pray for the best because the loss of Giroux for more than one game could be a MAJOR issue for the Flyers, as he is one who has put the team on his back.
