It Looks like Jack Campbell will be back to help the U.S go for Gold.

Yesterday, USA hockey announced the 31 players that they believe to be a gold medal winning team. Many names were expected,like Campbell, and a few are under the radar players, but it gives us a better look at what to expect come December 26th. This roster has a ton of a ton of skill and size on the back end. There are a lot of 92 birth years, with only three 93’s and two 94’s.


Goalies: Jack Campbell, John Gibson, Andy Iles

Defense: Justin Faulk, Derek Forbort, Kevin Gravel, Stephen Jones, Seth Jones, Austin Levi, Jon Merrill, Jarred Tinordi, Jacob Trouba

Forwards: Kenny Agostino, Josh Archibald, Bill Arnold, Nick Bjugstad, Connor Brickley, Charlie Coyle, Austin Czarnik, Emerson Etem, Brian Ferlin, John Gaudrea, J.T. Miller, Shane Prince, Kyle Rau, Brandon Saad, T.J. Tynan, Austin Watson, Jason Zucker

Some highlights of the team: J.T. Miller, Brandon Saad, Emerson Etem, , Justin Faulk, Jerred Tinordi and Jack Campbell. The Americans won gold in 2010 against the Canadians, but was unable to make it to the finals in 2011 and settled with a Bronze medal.

Steven took a different route towards his hockey interests. Starting out as a big Habs fan, he started to gravitate towards the more obscure levels of hockey, such as the low level tournaments in Asia, strange club matches between teams most people in North America can’t pronounce, and even some 3am contests between Bulgaria and New Zealand. Aside from his love for strange hockey events, Steven occasionally acts as a mediocre ball hockey goalie following a failed attempt at making it to the NHL as a fourth line house league grinder. Beyond hockey, Steven is an avid racing fan and loves to chat about NASCAR, F1, Indycar, you name it. Oh, and don’t get him started on music. That is, unless you want the whole history of metal and a guitar lesson. Currently, Steven is a credentialed media member with the Mississauga Steelheads of the OHL, as well as with the Oakville Blades of the OJHL.
