Yesterday, I got 2 of 3 of my predictions correct. Today, there will be 9 games in the NHL.
Penguins(6-2-2)/Islanders(3-3-0): Penguins over Islanders 3-1 – The Penguins will have another strong outing against the Panthers. They will play just strong enough to hold off the Panthers and leave with the victory.
Senators(3-5-0)/Hurricanes(3-3-2): Hurricanes over Senators 4-2 – Cam Ward and the Hurricanes will come out strong to start the game which will be strong enough to help them win.
Wings(5-1-0)/Jackets(0-7-1): Wings over Jackets 5-2 – The Jackets will lose, yet another game against the Wings, that’s all that needs to be said.
Lightning(3-3-2)/Sabres(5-2-0): Sabres over Lighting 3-1 – Ryan Miller and the Sabres will have another strong outing against the Lightning who have gotten off to a very disappointing start to the season. The Sabres will improve to 6-2-0, but they will have to earn it.
Sharks(3-3-0)/Predators(3-3-1): Sharks over Predators 4-2 – The Sharks have also gotten off to a slow start, but Tomas Greiss did play great in net for them. Now that they have Antti Niemi back, they will start to turn it around and start a hot streak. They will start that streak by defeating the Preds.
Ducks(4-3-0)/Blackhawks(4-1-2): Blackhawks over Ducks 3-2 – This will be a very close game, but the Blackhawks will play just a bit better as they will be at home giving them the extra momentum as they will be able to hold off the Ducks for the win.
Canucks(4-3-1)/Oilers(3-3-2): Canucks over Oilers 4-3 – The Oilers will have yet, another strong game with their very young, talented team but Luongo and the Canucks will be able to hold the “kid line” off just enough to win.
Stars(6-2-0)/Coyotes(3-3-1): Coyotes over Stars 3-1 – The Stars have gotten off to a very surprising start, but they will start to cool down after being defeated by the Coyotes.
Devils(3-2-1)/Kings(5-1-1): Kings over Devils 4-2 – Jonathan Bernier will get the start in net after Jonathan Quick set a new Kings franchise record for the longest shut-out streak (3 games). Bernier is on the rise to superstardom in the NHL as he has proven that he is a #1 goaltender so him being in net will not affect the Kings as they will still be able to defeat the Devils.
Overall record: 49-49.
