HC Lugano could be down a defenseman for their meeting against Jokerit on Monday after Stefan Ulmer was forced to leave their game against Adler Mannheim on Saturday with a suspected concussion.
Ulmer, who came to action after missing some time this year due to a concussion, didn’t even play a full period before getting hit hard by an Adler Mannheim player. Ulmer would lay on the ice for a few seconds before getting helped off, leaving the game for the remainder of the afternoon.
Lugano sat out two defensemen on Saturday, with captain Steve Hirschi and veteran Clarence Kparghai sitting on the sidelines. Ulmer will miss at least Lugano’s next game against Jokerit with a decision to be made for the remainder of the tournament afterwards.
