With defenseman Kévin Hecquefeuille unable to act as a reinforcement for HC Davos at the Spengler Cup, forward Alexandre Picard has been called in to help the team for the legendary tournament.
Picard, not to be confused with the Team Canada defenseman with the exact same name, has missed the entire season so far due to an injury. A two-time Spengler Cup champion with Genève-Servette the past two seasons, Picard is coming off of a 20 point campaign in 30 games with GSHC last year in the NLA. The 2015-2016 season is his fourth with the Swiss club after a 67 game NHL stint with the Columbus Blue Jackets split over five seasons.
The 89th running of the Spengler Cup will run from December 26th-31st in Davos, Switzerland. For news, game reviews and rosters, click here.
