The Dallas Stars have traded Forward Krys Barch and a 2012 6th-round draft pick to the Florida Panthers in exchange for Forward Jake Hauswirth and a 2012 5th-round draft pick.

Florida Panthers Executive Vice President & General Manager Dale Tallon publicly announced the deal early Wednesday…

“Krys is a hard-working Forward who adds further depth and competitiveness to our line-up,” Tallon stated. “He will join our club in Boston and we look forward to his contributions to our organization.”

The trade was completed after it was announced that Stars Defenseman Mark Fistric was suspended for 3 games for his elbow on New York Islanders Rookie Forward Nino Niederreiter.

The Dallas Stars were in desperate need of a change after going 4-5-1 in their last 10 games and falling way down to 7th in the Wester Conference. They are still currently without 3 of their top players in Goaltender Kari Lehtonen, Captain Brendan Morrow, and one of their best Defenseman in Trevor Daley.
