No, not the good Schultz.
31-year-old, left-handed shooting defenseman Nick Schultz is heading to the Columbus Blue Jackets from the Edmonton Oilers. The 12-year NHL veteran has four assists in 60 games this year, but will be expected to add a steady, veteran presence to the Columbus blue line. Schultz, who stands at 6’1″, 200 lbs, will be an unrestricted free agent this summer when his contract that carries a $3.5 million cap hit expires. The Oilers get the Blue Jackets’ third-round pick in this year’s NHL Entry Draft in exchange.
