Boston Bruins Forward and leading scorer Tyler Seguin will be a healthy scratch Tuesday night after missing a team meeting and team breakfast earlier in the morning. This will be the first time this season that the Bruins will be without Seguin in the line-up.
“[Seguin] missed a team breakfast and a team meeting this morning when he didn’t wake up. It was an honest mistake, but we have team rules. We have to abide by them and he has to abide by them,” GM Peter Chiarelli said. “That’s the reason for his scratch.
“He’s had a couple of these incidents over the course of his career. I don’t see it as a problem. I see it as a young player who sometimes forgets to set his alarm.”
Seguin is currently leading the NHL in the Plus-Minus category through 25 games played with a +19. Although this is only the Sophomores 2nd season the in the NHL, the former 2nd overall pick has already set career highs in pretty much every category. He has proven himself to be a true superstar in this league.
